MetaCocoMom is an artist and a mom, laboring all hours of the day. With the resurgence of zines, and the need for independent grassroots publications to mobilize communities, this fold-able form is a great way to spread the word!
Through MetaCocoMom, I explore the radical joy, complexity, and creativity of Black motherhood. I build bridges between ancestral wisdom and modern resistance, using storytelling, art, and education to empower families and communities. My work spans performance, pedagogy, and public scholarship, all rooted in love, liberation, and legacy.
